Boy oh boy do we need a doctor. There must be some medicine that they prescribe for this kind of erratic, depressive behavior. Thankfully, Dr. Mou is welcoming us to the Bernabeu this weekend, assuring our fragil psyches: “Sevilla are full of quality players.”
This is either the best or worst thing to hear as a Sevillista going into tomorrow’s match. On one hand, we DO have quality players. Not all of them will be on the field in Madrid, but yes, let us be reassured: we are a team with good players. On the other hand, being reminded of our side’s objective quality only perpetuates the nightmare.
The palm-to-forehead muscle of Sevilla fans has never been more toned, but if there’s one thing that has seemed to wake this team up in the past, it’s been a good ol’ morbo-fest with Real Madrid. The morbo will probably always be a little more felt on the Sevilla side of things; RM likely take us for amateur big-timers, and based on what we’ve seen this season, I don’t think we can fault them. It’s a sure enough sign that Sevilla players have not been featured at all this week talking about how much they’d love to play for Real Madrid some day. No interviews with Manzano, no Navas transfer jabs, only silence. There has been little inspiration for building up the match, it seems. I suppose, though, that this only mirrors how passionless Sevilla has been in the last month. And after that month we get to close things out this year with…them? Them? Them?! THEM!?!??!
GOSH I DO HATE THEM!! I’VE HELD IT IN THIS WHOLE PREVIEW BUT AAAARRRRGHGHHGHGHGG MY BLOOD IS BOILING OVER AND OUT MY EYE SOCKETS WHICH IS DESTROYING MY KEYBOARD!! UUUUGUGUUGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
