Without Álvaro Negredo but with Trochowski back in the lineup, Sevilla take on Sporting in our first home match in three weeks since we drew with Valencia in that craaahhaaazy red-card fest. Sporting will be without a couple of regulars, as Nacho Novo and Carmelo González will be out of the lineup with injury, leaving fewer options for Sporting in attack.
Here at MonchisMen, we hate saying things like this, but this is the kind of match we *should* be able to take full points from. Our penchant for dropping points we are capable of winning in recent seasons has been well documented. We’re all hoping this isn’t one of those occasions in which we perform well enough to win but fail to find the back of the net. With Manu del Moral up top, and likely seeing service from Kanouté and the others, we’ll be hoping to see the new guy break through as a goal scorer.
I should be watching and providing comments and observations. Join me, you Sevillistas! David and Chris, I’m looking at you guys! : )
