Sad to see an old friend go. But he wanted a bigger role in a club, and I will always wish him the very very best. For stretches of his seven seasons here, many of us were skeptical of his value and ability. But over time, he proved his worth and at times played a critical role in stabilizing makeshift defenses.
According to Orgullo de Nervion it’s done.
I wonder what this does to our back line strategy. Will Monchi target a new LB? Or will we just focus on CB and consider Kolo as a backup LB? Could Kakuta ever be an attacking wing back? Would we want to use Diogo as a backup for both back positions?
Good luck with everything Fernando. And thank you for everything you have brought to this team.
