I very much enjoy a good Indian restaurant and some saag paneer as Jeremy suggested last week; however, my experiences with Indian food is much like last weeks game at home against Betis.
Everything is great before you visit the restaurant, it’s even great for a while when you are enjoying your saag paneer, or buttered chicken. But then it hits you, and man is it painful. Betis winning by two goals at the RSP was much like getting rid of that saag paneer.
Today is a new day, a new week, and our beloved Sevilla team is coming off a marvelous showing at the RSP against Valladolid. Marko Marin looked like the player from the beginning of the season. Reyes was playing well and passing with spectacular precision, our captain was dazzling, Gameiro scored from an acute angle and from the spot, and our new fellows in the middle, Iborra and Cristoforo, were holding down the mid-field.
Even after such a great showing this past Sunday, there are doubts about the team going into the match today. The team heads into the Villamarín without much of a defensive midfield. Cristoforo suffered a nasty knee injury at the end of the Villadolid game, Iborra is out with yellow card accumulation, Carrico has a knock, and Trochowski has been left off the team sheet for some reason. With that said, Emery must have a plan and I would assume it would be ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK! I would assume he probably said something about laying off the saag paneer this week as well.
